Like it, love it or hate it, the ten commandments play some what of an important role in society today, many countries today have based their law on these ten simple foundations of living on earth, or as a friend once called it “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth” (Hint: It’s an acronym).

More importantly they are a simple rule as to whether or not you have ever sinned in your life, and this is important because if you have then there might be a few things you want to fix up before ’leaving earth'.

One of them more importantly is the one about parents. “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you” is how it reads in the New International translation.

In a letter to the church at Ephesus, the Apostle Paul extended on this law by adding ’that all may go well with you" and of course you will live long as well.

Is all going well in your life?

Is a sickness or health perhaps threatening to shorten the length of your life?

When I was younger, because of the crazy life I’d led I never thought I would live past 21, which makes it a funny fact that I took the call to follow Christ at that age, some would see a symbolic act there, the age which I had prophesied I would die, I actually did, and became alive for Christ.

At that stage of my life I had parent issues, 6 of them to generalise, after a few divorces my dad had propagated nice little community of hate around me, luckily I had a friend in Ben Naitoko who hammered me about that commandment I wrote about earlier.

Out of my obedience to forgive, and honour my parents, I was launched into a completely new and exciting chapter of my life, for those watching at home, I’m talking about my entry into the radio industry and soon after my departure to the Gold Coast.

I haven’t looked back since, I really cant afford to look back when I’ve got so much ahead of me.

What’s ahead of you? A long life? All going well?
